These Curious Chats always pique my curiosity, as I am apparently deficient in that quality/trait compared to others. But what struck me was when I read Tam's reflection upon meeting a British man in Egypt and his response when asked about needing only his plastic bag of belongings, and the man replied: " I don't worry where I will sleep and what I will eat; that has been written for me before I was born." I have previously felt likewise; many things are "predetermined" prior to being born. Yet not all would agree with that concept. When reading someone's works that relate to my own, it reminds me how many others have an entirely different perspective.

This is a great reflection, Lynn, and thank you for sharing. Regardless of the topic, what you say about realizing there are other perspectives is so important. And being able to view those alternative perspectives with a curious eye, rather than a judgmental eye, is a great use of curiosity. It's lovely to hear you're enjoying these chats and that your own curiosity is being sparked! Thank you for reading!

Excellent! I've enjoyed the depth and honesty of Tam's work for some time so it's great to see further recognition for a writer of such integrity. Thanks for such a great lunch-break treat Lara!
